About Us

Erasmus Sustainability Days Welcomes You

Erasmsus Sustainability Hub presents the 4th edition of the Erasmus Sustainability Days (ESD) from March 4-7, 2019. Erasmus University Rotterdam will host all the conference’s events.

Our goal is to inspire students to become familiar with sustainability, and to empower them to be part of our changing world. During the 4 day event, students can sign up for various events such as workshops, business cases, roundtable sessions, speeches, movie screenings and vegan cooking workshops. The organisations represented at the ESDs are committed front-runners in sustainability, offering the opportunity for students to develop a passion for sustainability.
One of the main objectives of our event is to support RSM’s mission “A Force for Positive Change”, a motto inspired by the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals.

For more information regarding participating companies and events see the Program.
This year, the motto of the ESD is “Break barriers!”. We want you to think critically about every possible barrier – material, social, practical – of your everyday life that stands between you and the positive change. We will show you how it is possible to break these barriers in the most creative way we can.

Fresh Ideas

Each day will have a theme. The first day will be focused on the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Attendees have the chance to learn more about the 17 goals while enjoying fun and interesting activities.

The following three days will focus on the three dimensions of positive change: Environmental, Social and Economic.

The final unique concept applied at the ESDs is the launch of the ECOcoin Living Lab at EUR! During the ESDs, members of the EUR community can earn and spend ECOcoins for completing environmentally and socially conscious actions such as attending conference events, choosing sustainable meal options and more. This concept strives to rethink the role of money in our society and to contribute to the ECOcoin movement and the development of a sustainable currency for planet earth.

Other than that, there will be plenty of interesting activities held on campus.

See You at the ESDs!
