Jan Peter Balkenende (Guest Speaker)

 Jan Peter Balkenende is a Dutch politician of the Christian Democratic Appeal (CDA). He served as Prime Minister of the Netherlands from 22 July 2002 until 14 October 2010.
Currently, he is a Professor of Governance, Institutions and Internationalizations at the Erasmus University Rotterdam, while simultaneously working as a Partner of Corporate Responsibility at Ernst & Young. In addition, he sits on the board of many (sustainable) initiatives and charities. Known to have done good for the Netherlands, he will be the most influential speaker of the Erasmus Sustainability Days.

Michiel Dijkman (Samsung)

Michiel Dijkman leads the department of Corporate Affairs at Samsung Electronics Benelux, which includes Corporate Citizenship (CSR), Public Affairs & Sustainability. He reports directly to the Board of Directors.
In his daily job he is responsible for Samsung's strategic stakeholder management, government relations, CSR, issue management, related corporate communications on subjects like digital economic affairs, privacy & security, consumer & business electronics, education, e-Health and innovative startups.
He graduated in the MSc. in International Business at Maastricht University. Before Samsung, he worked for Rabobank, Fortis Group, and at APG. Furthermore, he was a senior consultant at international consultancy firm Burson-Marsteller in Brussels and The Hague.
During the opening ceremony, he will elaborate on how Samsung is evolving from corporate citizen towards a social impactful enterprise, providing insights into how a company should include CSR within its business process and products.
