Calculating the ‘FOOD’-print of our Campus

The impact of our food choices on the climate is becoming more evident than ever. For example, we know that beef is the worst thing for the environment and lentils the best. But how are we confronted with these facts in our daily lives? And how are restaurants, caterers and urban policy makers using this information to make a change?
The German think-tank ‘Wuppertal Institut’ conducts sustainability research with a focus on resources, climate and energy related challenges and their relation to economy and society. An important aspect of their work is their approach to monitor and support environmentally friendly food choices. The ‘Wuppertal Institut’ will explain how these methods can help cities to make a change.
The training session will be held in English, with a maximum capacity of 20 participants. Students from any bachelor or master program at Erasmus University are welcome, and we encourage diversity of backgrounds! Selection of participants will be CV-based.
